My Reason for Blogging and Comment Guidelines

I started this blog because I enjoy writing. I often have ideas that I would like to write about but never do. I thought that having a blog would give me more incentive to actually write. And just maybe, someone else might enjoy reading what I have to write. I hope that someone may find joy, encouragement, provocation in something that I've written. Something that has come from my fingers, may lead someone to smile, chuckle, think about something from a different angle. As a stay-at-home mother, I do not have many outlets for sharing my thoughts, but I am continually learning and experiencing things that I would like to share. Child-rearing, homeschooling, Bible study, baking without an oven, reading with children are a few topics that I hope to include. Even if no one else reads this blog, I will have captured some of my thoughts and memories of this time, and that will be well worth it.

I do hope that people will comment with questions, answers, and stories of their own. Because I have young children constantly around and some know how to read, I do ask that you keep your comments wholesome. If you disagree with me or another commenter, do so respectfully. I do reserve the right to delete your comment if it is inappropriate. As of now (if I understand the settings correctly), you can post without my moderation. If it becomes a problem, I will have to change this and it will make "conversing" through the comments more difficult. Thank you for your understanding.

  1. Well I don't think learning the fiddle is silly at all! I cannot wait to hear you play it, and beside it setting a good example of hard work and tenacity for your kids, I am sure it will lift everyone's spirits as well as yours. Sarah would like to learn to play it as well. We really miss her Irish step dance lessons and the performance music
was wonderful. Where did you find your instrument? Online?

  2. Eileen,
Yes, I bought it online from a place in Illinois. I think I can find the name of the place if you are interested. I briefly looked for fiddle instructors in Terre Haute but didn't readily find any. You could probably find someone if you looked hard enough though. I think Sarah would have fun!
